Oh Brother, Where art thou?

Soooo, my first BB12 Blog post-meeting the houseguests. Underimpressed and Underwhelmed don't seem to cover it.

I can't decide if we were just spoiled by the BB11 houseguests or what. I knew going into this season that the BB12'ers had huge shoes to fill. So far I don't think they have. I mean there was Chimagate, Ronnie the Rat, Jordeff, Neuro Michele, The Widows Godderz, Man-in-a-banana-suit, etc. Are there any characters like that in BB12? I haven't found one yet. We are being forcefed "Brenchel" (gag) and "The Brigade!" At this point, I think I'd rather eat BB Slop. For real. (Plus that would probably help with my eating better plan I started on July 8th, premiere night. Down 9.4 lbs in three weeks if any of you are keeping track.)

So, let me take a look at the houseguests individually.

Annie - I thought Annie had huge promise as an All-Star BB player in her pre season interviews. Then she got in the house and basically lost it. I think being the saboteur had a lot to do with it. She was definitely the BB10 Brian of BB12. Too hard, too fast, a bazillion alliances. Alas, I miss Annie a bit.

Monet - She definitely wasn't as annoying as I thought she would be. A "Mean Girl" definitely. But different from the "Mean Girl" Britney is. I have a sneaking suspicion that Monet was just mean. I think this was her downfall.

Andrew - Completely Socially Awkward. Andrew reminds me a whole lot of BB11 Michele. Neither were trying to be weird, they were just being their normal selves. Unfortunately for both, normal to them translates to abnormal to most of the rest of the world. His behavior automatically brought the "saboteur" cloud over his head. Even after the saboteur was revealed! I think he's a nice guy, and I have to give him mad respect for being able to remain true to his religion in this hamster cage. I'm sure his religion has literally been his saving grace. Unfortunately for Andrew, his behavior almost ensured that he would have an early exit. His latest antics at the POV ceremony and then lashing out at Kristen have sealed his fate. He would have never been anything but a third wheel with his Brendon and Rachel alliance anyway. We'll be seeing you walk out the door tonight Andrew. Sorry man.

Rachel - Wow. If anyone has annoyed me pre-season and post-entering the house, it would have to be the Vegas Cocktail Waitress / Chemist. Pretty much everything about her gets on my nerves. The one thing I have to give her props for is that she does know this game. She's got really good skills at seeing through other people's lies and manipulations. She totally had Matt pegged with his "Don't tell anyone I volunteered" story. She's pretty much the less likable version of BB11 Laura for me. I won't be sad to see Rachel go, for her own mistake of being so overtly in a showmance and creating the distance between herself, Brendon, and the other houseguests.

Brendon - Whiner. He just really doesn't get it. Who's fault is it that everyone is after you Brendon? I hope you are looking in the mirror. His constant whining about everyone gunning for them really gets on my last nerve. It wouldn't get on my nerves so bad if people gunning for him had no basis. But they do have a basis for going after him. And about 98% of that was created by his own doing. Moron. For someone so "Smart" he sure is dumb.

Hayden - Okay, so I've gotten over my anger at him stealing my trademark profile pic. Actually, I think Hayden is a pretty cool guy. I thought he would really screw up by being the 1st HOH. I was very pleasantly surprised at how he handled it. I think his strategy of laying low is going to pay off well for him. Brendon, take note, this is how you play BB if you are going to be in a showmance. I really like how Hayden has aligned himself with The Brigade and with Kristen. But he's genuinely nice to everyone in the house. I really think that Hayden is going to make it far in this game.

Kristen - Thy name be Wallflower. Wow, I've never seen a contestant fly so far under the radar that it seems like she's not even a houseguest. I've liked watching her emerge the past week and a half. I love how she's a no nonsense kinda lady. When she called out Britney for the lie that Rachel made up, I thought it was great. And then when Andrew basically attacked her, she didn't back down from that either. I don't like that she sometimes gets classified as a "floater." I don't think she is in the slightest because I think a floater is someone that has allegiances to no one and float from the person in power to the next person in power and so on. Kristen is basically a non-player until she has to. She's pretty even no matter who is in power. I think Kristen has the chance to make it far in this game as well.

Kathy - Unlike Kristen, Kathy is the classic floater. I wanted to like her too, but I don't really. I think that she will be used by the other houseguests until she's no longer useful. I do like that she went with her gut on casting her vote to evict Matt over Monet. But she's already showed that she will fail at every competition. I don't respect that kind of game play. I think Kathy will at least make it to Jury, but I think that's about it.

Britney - Oh what a catty bitch. But oh, how I love a catty bitch. She's not catty with just girls, she's catty with everyone. And her particular brand of sarcasm is awesome! I share that trait with her. I'm glad that we've got see how hilarious she can be without Monet around. I've really really enjoyed watching her this week. It doesn't hurt that I think she is the hottest girl in the house. L-U-V her! She's very perceptive too. I'm hoping that she and Ragan have a meeting of the minds and make it far in the game. And I love her love/hate relationship with Lane. They are really funny together.

Lane - He's one that has been very under the radar too. His gameplay is almost akin to Kathy's though. The only difference is that I find his delivery and comedic timing funny. I really didn't appreciate a certain "F" word he used one night. I hate it when that word is used because it has been used against me from bullies growing up, and it just puts me back into a dark place that I really don't want to go back to, ever. And yes, I know I'm being hypocritical right now because I know Jeff and Jordan both had said it also. I'm guessing the difference is that I didn't know Lane when he used it. I had already felt like I knew Jeff and Jordan when they did, and I knew that they meant it just as a word like scumbag or douche. I didn't know Lane well enough when he said it, and his physique just reminded me of a bully. I'm still not 100% sure he didn't mean it in the way that means being gay is a bad thing. The jury is still out with me for Lane.

Enzo - He definitely doesn't annoy me as much as I thought he would. I do wish he'd grow the eff up though. Farting and throwing gra-nades is not something that a grown man does for jokes ... 24 hours a day. I definitely see him as the chink in The Brigade's armor. I hate how he smacks his lips around when he's talking about someone. His personality is too big for me. I don't see him outlasting the rest of The Brigade. I don't really see him being useful in the game either. I think Enzo would be the one that I would be the least ambivalent about when he leaves the house. Unfortunately, I think he is well liked by the rest of the houseguests, and he's done well not to anger anyone, so I think for that alone, means he will make it pretty far.

Ragan - I really like me some Ragan. I think he's a true scholar of the BB Game. But I also think he is making some stupid mistakes. #1 being his unwavering trust of Matt. I can't believe he doesn't see through Matt's act. It's really hard to watch play out on the feeds, because I think Matt will be the one to destroy Ragan's game. I don't even see Ragan making it to Final 4. Matt will shrug him off like a bad habit. For his trust of Matt, I've had to back away a bit from the Ragan bandwagon.

Matt - Hmmm, I wonder if I've ever disliked a houseguest more than I dislike Matt. I think not. I find the lengths that he is willing to go to reprehensible. Karma is a bitch for a reason. You don't put things like that out in the universe without expecting something bad in return. I really don't care if his wife is okay with his lie or not. I feel personally manipulated by him. I went on the search for "Stacy's Story" the website that Matt made about his wife's condition. I went as far as spending nearly an hour researching the disease that his wife supposedly ailed from. For that Matt will NEVER have my vote for anything. There's one thing being in a game manipulating the people you are playing with. It's totally another thing manipulating hundreds of thousands of viewers. He is disgusting.

Brenchel - Yuck. I'm so over CBS shoving them down our throats. They are in the position they are in because they have isolated themselves since the first week. I'm very over them, and was over them pretty much an hour into the live feeds when they first went live.

The Brigade - The bravado this group shows is insane. I really can't wait to watch them self distruct.

In closing, it's weird for me that I don't have a favorite yet. No one has really "wowed" me this season. I hope that BB12 really starts ramping up tonight. I would like to be able to finally root for someone in this crazy game.

Thanks for taking the time to read folks! Enjoy the Live Show Tonight!
